Pizza. A timeless classic. Now cannabis-infused. Enjoy.

For the cannabis infused olive oil, you’ll need:

  • ¼ oz of your favorite strain
  • A quart of olive oil (or another neutral oil)
  • A mason jar

Cannabis infused olive oil is quite simple to make. We’re going quite rustic with the whole feel. Start by placing ¼ oz of your favorite strain on a baking sheet, making sure it’s spread evenly, and bake in the oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour to activate the THC. Next, place your decarboxylated weed into a mason jar and cover with a quart of olive oil. Seal tightly and place into a pot of water big enough to immerse the jar. Let simmer for 45 minutes to an hour to infuse the oil.

For the pizza, you’ll need:

  • 1 large pizza crust
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup low moisture mozzarella
  • A handful sliced pepperoni
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • Cooked Italian sausage
  • ½ Red Onion
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ green bell pepper
  • A handful of spinach
  • Parmesan
  • Red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • A sprinkle semolina flour
  • Cannabutter
  • Cannabis infused olive oil

Start by cooking your bacon until ¾ of the way cooked. Drain on paper towel and set aside to cool. Once cooled, chop into bite-sized bits and set aside. Thinly slice ½ a red onion and set aside.

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Brush the top layer of your crust with 1-2 tablespoons of cannabis-infused olive oil. Sprinkle a bit of semolina flour on the bottom of your pizza stone or pizza pan and place the crust on top. This will create that nice, crispy bottom we all love in a good slice of pizza.

In a small saucepan on the stove, heat your preferred tomato sauce and add a tablespoon of cannabutter for a glossy medicated finish. A nice tomato basil sauce would work perfectly for this. The flavor of basil is powerful enough to mask the taste of the cannabutter, not that its really all that offensive. You could add some fresh basil for a little more vibrancy. Overall, I like to keep the sauce simple.

Spread your tomato sauce evenly on the pizza crust, leaving a ring of about 1 inch to 1 ½ inch diameter around the edge. Now, it’s time for toppings! You can get really creative with your toppings or go with simple classics, like plain cheese. My pizza is a Supreme pizza. I’m not a fan of mushrooms, but you can add them if you like!

There’s no particular order to the toppings but I like to keep things orderly to ensure a bit of every ingredient in each bite. Spread an even layer of mozzarella on the pizza, followed by your pepperoni, chopped bacon, and cooked Italian sausage. Evenly spread your thinly sliced red onions, spinach, black olives, green bell pepper, and finish the whole affair off with a nice sprinkle of parmesan. I like to leave the red pepper flakes for the very end once it is done baking, but you can add them now if you prefer.

Bake your pizza for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and fragrant. Finish off the crust with one last brush of cannabis-infused olive oil and enjoy!
